School Meals

Breaktime food:

During morning breaktime children are able to have a healthy snack to keep their energy levels going. Only healthy snacks (e.g. no chocolate or high in sugar snacks) are permitted during breaktime.

Lunchtime food:

At lunchtime, children can either have a hot school meal or bring in a packed lunch.

Hot meals are provided by Chartwells and have to be booked in advance via their website (https://westsussex.mealselector.co.uk/OrderMeals.aspx). Menus can be found on the Chartwells website or you can pick one up from the school office.

If your child brings in a packed lunch then please ensure that it provides a healthy and nutritious balance that will fill your child up sufficiently. As we have children with severe nut allergies we also ask that no nuts or products containing nuts are brought into school.

Free School Meals

If you are in receipt of Income Support, Guarantee element of State Pension Credit or Child Tax Credit (Not Working Tax Credit), then your child may be eligible to receive free hot school meals, which will be automatically provided once you have registered.  Forms can be obtained from the school office.

Please note:  If you are entitled to Free School Meals but you do not wish your child to have a hot meal, we would still appreciate you making an application as this provides the school with additional funding which will enable us to purchase more resources to support and enrich our children's education.
