If you are considering Nyewood C.E. Junior School as your preferred place for your child's education then we strongly recommend you making an appointment to view the school.  When contacting the school please ask for Mrs E Barnes or Mrs M Fowler who will be happy to help you with the admissions process. 

In-Year Admissions

In Year Admissions are school places that are required throughout an Academic Year. Enquiries for school places can be made by contacting the Nyewood CE Junior School office.  The school will accordingly admit all pupils in the relevant age group if under-subscribed.  If the relevant age group is oversubscribed then the over-subscription criteria will apply.  Please read through the Admission Arrangements below.

Waiting Lists

If the school is oversubscribed, parents of children who have not been offered a place at the school may ask for their child’s name to be placed on a waiting list. The waiting list will be operated using the same admissions criteria detailed in Nyewood CE Junior School's admission arrangements. Placing a child’s name on the waiting list does not guarantee that a place will become available. This does not prevent parents from exercising their right to appeal against the decision not to offer a place. The waiting list will be ranked in line with the over-subscription criteria each time a child is added to the list.  Children will remain on the waiting list until the end of the academic year at which point they will be removed.  Should you wish to keep your child on the waiting list then you will need to re-apply at the start of the next academic year.  Nyewood CE Junior School’s waiting list will not roll over from one academic year to the next.
