These last 2 weeks Year 3 have been very busy, from trips to Chichester to exploring shadows in science. When we were in Chichester, we went and saw different graffiti artwork to tie in to our art learning about Banksy. We even did our own graffiti names and giant graffiti art on wallpaper. Additionally, we have finished up our wonderful forest school time with potion making and Year 3 are looking forward to forest school again at the end of the year! We built our own London skylines out of Lego and explored how shadows different due to directionality of the light.
Within maths we have been working on our column method and we made a giant column method on the carpet to help our learning.

We have been learning lots about Paddington Bear. We have made marmalade sandwiches this week because Paddington Bear loves them! First, we wrote instructions for how to make them and then we got to make one to try! We made one for Mr Spurle and gave it to him in worship.
In art this week, we have been looking at graffiti. We had to do tricky bubble writing with spikes and arrows to spell our names. We added little pictures around the outside and lots of different colours.
In Forest School this week we have been playing Eagle Eye. Everyone hides and the Eagle has to try and find them from the shelter. We have made hot chocolate and popcorn! We build a den in the centinary garden that we poured water over to check if it was waterproof or not.
