Year 2 – Year 3 Transition September 2021

Our aim at Nyewood Church of England Junior School is to provide a smooth transition for children joining us not only from Nyewood CE Infant School but other Infant Schools in the area.  At Nyewood we are fully aware of what a challenging and daunting time the transition period can be, both for children and parents, which is why we endeavour to make the process as smooth as possible. 

Due to the current situation, we have had to amend our transition process and would just like to advise you regarding some of the ways that we will be communicating with you and your children. 

You should have received a letter regarding the following transition information; 

• There will be a Parents' Transition Evening in the Autumn Term and in a future letter you will be sent a link to a power point outlining the key information which you need to know about the transition. 
• There will also be some "welcome" videos uploaded to this page so that the children can "meet" their teachers and also a video tour of the school so children can "look around". 

End of Universal Free School Meals

When your child leaves Year 2 they are no longer entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals.  If you are entitled to Free School Meals please complete the application below and return to the school office.
