Today you are going to plan what to write for your instructions.

Last week we baked some bread in school and are going to write instructions for somebody to follow to make the same. Some of you were able to do this at home and some were not. If you weren't able to, think of something you have made before and can remember well enough to write a set of instructions for - even a sandwich would work.

If you're still struggling to think of a recipe you can write, you could write a set of instructions for something you know how to do (getting ready for school for example).

Then complete the planning sheet using key words that will help you write your instructions tomorrow. If you can't print the sheet you could copy the headings on a sheet of paper and add your notes underneath.

I have added a sheet of imperative verbs that you may like to borrow words from (make sure you give them back when you've finished).
