Our home learning system helps children to practice key skills through their time at Nyewood. We recommend the below to enhance your child's learning and progression through key subject areas which will really aid their learning journey on top of in class learning. These tasks are non-compulsory but a suggestion to help your child reach their full potential.

Homework schedule for all year groups:

• Reading four times a week (min) – recording using new reading diaries/ trackers
• Times Table Rock Stars for 10 minutes four times a week 
• Project knowledge organisers/ activities

Year 6;

• Weekly maths activity 
• Weekly writing/ EGPS activity

In addition to the schedule above, each year group has their own learning section with many links to key areas of learning to further, embed and secure children's knowledge and understanding of lessons within school.  These include work linked to your child's current project and White Rose at home booklets for additional maths learning.
